Phnom Penh—On 18 October 2017, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, visited over 15,000 factory workers in Sangkat Kamboul, National Road 4, which there are 10 factories in Khan Posenchey, Phnom Penh, participated.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid a call to representatives of workers and factory workers for 12 times. On that occasion, Samdech visited factory administrators, supervisors, foremen, and assistants of other factories in Phnom Penh for 05 times which there are 398 factories with 22,391 participants and met workers for 07 times which there 154 factories with 100,590 participants.
Samdech Techo said that worker’s wage will be increased 170 USD in 2018. He continued that while we have high income, we must contribute to maintain it well.
Samdech Techo really appreciated the ministries involved, in particular Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training has paid attention to launch Occupational Risk and Health Care Schemes for the workers nationwide.
Samdech appealed to all owners of enterprises/establishments in Cambodia for registering urgently their workers in NSSF in a bid to allow the workers to have entitlement to insurances and benefits.
