  • NSSF PROVIDED EMERGENCY AND MEDICAL CARE SERVICES UNTIL RECOVERY TO 51 WORKERS SUFFERING FROM COMMUTING ACCIDENT AT KANDAL PROVINCE

    Kandal—In Thursday morning on 5 July 2018, there was a traffic accident caused 51 workers with serious and mild injury occurred on the Rational Road 3 between the milestones 35 and 36 located in Komnot village, Kandal Steung commune, Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.

    The above traffic accident was caused by the driver who tried to overtake the front car in the parallel direction carelessly. When reaching the accidental scene, the car veered out of the road and overturned causing 17 serious injuries and 34 mild injuries.

    After receiving the information above, the Khan Dangkor NSSF officials of Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training collaborated with the local authorities to facilitate and send the victims to get the emergency at the nearest health facility.

    There were 33 victims sent to Tram Khnar health center to receive the emergency and medical care services—of these victims, only 4 victims were referred to Preah Kossamak Hospital and 17 serious injuries were sent to Preah Kossamak Hospital and 01 victim got treatment at Moulmet Doeum Roka clinic.

    The National Social Security Fund is fully responsible for patient or victim referral and medical care services until recovery.

    The National Social Security Fund felt deeply regretful for this accident occurred on workers and reminded all worker-transporting drivers to pay high attention to driving and check their vehicles every day; in particular they must observe the traffic law in a bid to prevent against accidents.
