Kampong Cham—On Monday morning of 22 October 2018, Mr. Meng Hong, representative of the National Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, presided over in the meeting on Policy Implementation of Social Security Schemes in order to disseminate to factory administrators, shop stewards, local trade unions, and workers amounted to 59 participants at SKY NICE II INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD situated in Kampong Cham province.
Mr. Meng Hong said that this meeting aims to disseminate the policy implementation of social security schemes, challenges, and particularly service strengthening for providing benefits to workers by explaining benefits of social security schemes on Occupational Risk and Health Care; moreover, pension scheme will be launched in 2019.
He added that NSSF has currently implemented social security schemes on Occupational Risk and Health Care; separately, in 2019 NSSF will launch pension scheme for all workers, the NSSF member, in order to allow them to have entitlement to enjoy the same pensions as the civil servant when they reach old age. Until now, NSSF has registered 12,588 enterprises/establishments with 1,480,932 workers (893,449 females) in total who are entitled to access medical services free of charge in all health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF and receive other benefits.
These achievements are because the Head of Royal Government under the outstanding leadership of wisdom of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padie Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, always pays high attention to the difficulty of people, particularly workers, through Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training whose NSSF is an operator.
