  • NSSF OFFICIALS AND FIVE ASEAN MEMBER STATES JOIN TRAINING COURSE AND EXPERIENCE SHARING ON COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION FOR WORKERS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES, THAILAND

    Thailand—Mr. Thuong Samnang, Deputy Director of Rehabilitation Division of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), was nominated by H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to participate in training course and experience sharing on Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Workers with Disabilities.

    This training course was held from 25 August to 07 September 2019 and prepared by Social Security Office (SSOI) of Thailand and Industrial Rehabilitation Center Region 1-IRC situated in Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

    This training course aims to share experiences in relation to rehabilitation with the ASEAN member states focusing on medical rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and return to work, and psychosocial rehabilitation for workers with disabilities suffering from work injury or people with disabilities und the Social Security Act with the purpose of allowing them to return to work or self-employ and live independently in the society through the process of rehabilitation provision.

    It’s certified that this is the 5th training course and experience sharing in relation to the rehabilitation provision of social security schemes. This workshop was participated by Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Philippine, and Malaysia.
