Phnom Peh—H.E. Ouk Samvithyea, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director of the National Social Security Fund, said that this special gift is to respond to the livelihood of workers lacking money during delivery, a policy to promote the social protection, promotion of the Cambodian population growth, and contribution to relieve the hardship of workers.
From 01 January to 31 December 2018, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training dispensed the additional allowance of the Royal Government to 65,054 postnatal workers with 65,534 babies equal to around 26 billion riels.

He certified that the Royal Government authorized NSSF to register informal workers for accessing medical care services through Health Equity Fund. In present, NSSF has registered 23,183 enterprises/establishments with 137,845 workers.
Currently, has provided occupational risk benefits to 216,357 of 1,614,339 members who are working in 12,688 enterprises/ establishments and health care benefits amounted to 1,850,719 cases/times to 1,614,339 members who are working 10,152 enterprises/establishments.
