  • IN THIS MORNING NATIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY FUND DISTRIBUTED ITS MEMBERSHIP CARDS TO 02 INSTITUTIONS FOR ACCESSING MEDICAL CARE SERVICES FREE OF CHARGE IN THE HEALTH FACILITY

    Phnom Penh—Referring to the report of the NSSF leaders, it recognized that nowadays the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training handed out its membership cards to civil servants and contract officials of  29 ministries and institutions; furthermore, on Wednesday morning of 23 January 2019, NSSF collaborated with 02 more institutions situated in Phnom Penh in a bid to allow civil servants and contract officials of both institutions to access medical care services free of charge in the health facilities signed the agreement with NSSF.

    It’s certified that the Ministry of Economy and Finance was dispensed 5,807 cards by H.E. Meng Hong, Deputy Director of NSSF, and State Secretariat of Civil Aviation was provided 690 cards by H.E. Suon Sitieng, Deputy Director of NSSF.

    Until now, NSSF has registered public employees, former civil servants, and veterans amounted to 317,509—207,517 civil servants, 55,222 former civil servants, and 44,277 veterans—have accessed health care services amounted to 30,727 cases/times.

    NSSF will carry on strengthening and extending the implementation of social security scheme on Occupational Risk and urging the implementation of Health Care Scheme for public employees and workers as well as striving to launch Pension Scheme for workers and Occupational Risk Scheme for public employees in 2019.
